As Senior Vice President of Operations at Legacy Bank, Jesse Nienke oversees Information Technology, Security, Core Systems, Deposit Operations, Contact Center, and Treasury Management. In his role, he is committed to delivering technology solutions and processes that support customers in every endeavor and help teams serve with confidence and efficiency.
Jesse brings more than 22 years of experience in banking and financial technology. He began his career as a teller at Equity Bank and advanced through roles including loan assistant, branch manager, deposit operations clerk, and treasury management support specialist. After recognizing the need for dedicated support and management of bank-specific software, he built and led a specialized team for a decade, developing cross-functional partnerships throughout the organization before joining Legacy Bank.
The Legacy Bank core value that resonates most with Jesse is Empowerment. He believes people seek autonomy and that empowering individuals leads to better outcomes for both customers and employees. He demonstrates that value by helping customers manage their finances independently and encouraging his teams to work with autonomy while minimizing unnecessary oversight and approvals.
Originally from Andover by way of Smolan, Kansas, Jesse has called Wichita home for more than 22 years. He is actively involved with Wichita Swim Club, where he currently serves as board president and chairman of the Management Committee after previously serving as treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee. Outside of work, he enjoys music, collecting records, concerts, cooking, woodworking, home repairs, and spending time with his wife, Sarah, their children, Cole and Harper, and their two pit bulls, Jonesie and Noah. Jesse loves working at Legacy Bank because it offers the opportunity to influence future growth while honoring a long-standing tradition.
